BAMBI is a mother-led volunteer organization that provides information, support and companionship for pregnant women, mothers of babies and small children. BAMBI was founded nearly 25 years ago as a project of the Childbirth and Breastfeeding Foundation of Thailand. Today, BAMBI has about 650 members representing dozens of nations.

Our Aims

1. To provide pre-natal and post-natal support
2. To provide support and advice to the parents of babies and young children
3. To provide information relating to childbirth and childcare
4. To develop and promote educational programs designed to assist in establishing high quality and flexible childcare
5. To encourage the setting of playgroups for young children
6. To sponsor activities beneficial to the members of BAMBI
7. To support charitable organizations in Thailand involved with the family or child welfare including the making of financial donations where appropriate

Charity Work

BAMBI is a non-profit organization. Surplus funds raised through membership, donations and activities are donated to local charities which reflect BAMBI's concerns and priorities. Our charities team is committed to helping a number of local charities that are focused on children and/or mothers. We make regular visits to and ensure that the funds and items that BAMBI members have donated are being used appropriately. In any given year, the committee may choose to focus on one or two charities as principle benefactors.

Donations

Donations of used goods are always greatly appreciated. The charities team will try to sell any good quality items (baby equipment, books, toys, etc.) at the bi-annual BAMBI Bring & Buy Sale in order to pass the proceeds and any unsold goods to the charities we support.
