BAMBI News December 2016

View PDF Dear Members,I love the holidays! So by the time this magazine comes out I have probably already Christmas-decorated all our apartment and baked at least ten trays of gingerbread cookies. Yummy :) This year we are staying in Thailand for Christmas and New Year. For us, it will be the first time to celebrate these holidays under palm trees and blazing sun. It will be funny, a Christmas without snow :) My parents-in-law will come to visit us. No pressure at all, I just need to find the nicest Christmas tree, a charming French-speaking church, and order Christmas food that tastes just like back at home. Piece of cake! :DBAMBI will keep it low this year during Christmas time. Instead, we will welcome you back to Bangkok after the holidays with a party at the end of January. It will be a fun morning full of many activities, good food, and music! If you plan to go to the playgroups in the next weeks, please do check that they have not been cancelled from the calendar on our website, because many schools are closed during the holidays. The last months have brought us a few new volunteers. We are very happy to welcome to our team Chiho (New Members Assistant), Sharon (WOMBLES Co-coordinator) and Roshni (Secretary). At the same time, we were sad to say goodbye to Anne, our Charities Coordinator, who will not leave us entirely but doesn't have time to lead all our charity activities.I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May you spend a joyful time with your loved ones, and see you around again after the holidays :)Cheers,Tini, BAMBI Chairwoman View PDF
