Palm Pottery Studio is a lovely oasis in the heart of Bangkok. This beautiful pottery studio, run by the wonderful Sinee, offers a welcoming and creative space for all ages and skill levels. Visitors can choose from a range of pottery experiences, including hand-building, wheel-throwing, and bisque painting classes.

The studio offers both private and group classes at your preferred times, as well as featuring a range of diverse workshops. As you enter the space, there is a lovely, homely studio looking over serene gardens in a quiet corner of the bustling city. The atmosphere instantly makes me feel calmer and more relaxed. Since my daughter, Amelie, turned three we have visited a number of times. We have tried several different sessions and my daughter absolutely loves using the pottery wheel. She frequently says “I’m really good at pottery,” and, judging by the pieces she’s created, she is absolutely correct!

During our different visits, Amelie has had instructions from Sinee and another teacher, Jane, who are both patient, calm, and understanding. Many other pottery studios in the city will not allow younger children to use the wheel, but at Palm Pottery Studio, they embrace little ones and their love of exploring the pottery wheel. Amelie has created a number of gorgeous pieces including bowls, plates and cups. Each time the teachers have followed her lead, and listened to her ideas and feedback with respect.

While Amelie has been busy creating, I have been able to make my own pieces. It has been such a special experience to be able to create together, carve out this time to be together, and also embrace our creative journeys. My mother has even joined us for some classes. The three-generation pottery trips have become a highlight of my mother’s visits to see us in Thailand. I would highly recommend joining a class at Palm Pottery Studio, either as a family outing or as an opportunity to have a bit of parental me-time!

For booking sessions, the studio is always really responsive to messages through Instagram or LINE. They will message you when your pieces have been fired and delivery can easily be arranged by Grab. There is convenient parking at the studio. I am really looking forward to visiting again with my daughter, and I would also love to carve out some me-time and have a grown-up visit as well!
